A Nice 40th Birthday Surprise... 2 Weeks Early

While I was busy with this years shearing, Gary and Simon were busy preparing a surprise 40th Birthday Dinner for me. 2 Week's early, so it was a big surprise, especially after such a long day with a 5am start.

Very awesome, great food, great setting, great views & the greatest friend's. 

This is living the dream... this is what life is about! Thank You Guys!

Mrs Duckie Is Now Mama Duckie

We have had some new additions to our family....

There were 11 ducklings, but we are down to 9, two went missing overnight. 

We didn't really want to breed or go beyond 2 ducks, we were just after a few eggs. However, Mrs Duckie is clever, she started laying in the little house I built her, but she didn't like me taking her eggs. So she made a new nest deep within a flax bush, on the side of the pond that I couldn't reach, and now we have a family of Ducks. 9 Points to Mrs Duckie - Zero to Me!

Oh... we have two wild ducks set up home here Down Wattle Lane, and one of them has taken over the house that I built Mrs Duckie. I'm glad someone appreciates my handy work.
